I have been meaning to update my creative + photography blog here on Tumblr for a while now. Today, I finally got it done! There are still some quirks to work out, among which I still need to get my Disqus form working. But, my blog here has been redesigned with a new look and feel that is better suited to my current work in fashion, beauty & related still life photography. This may be an interim transition to a more long term design, but it’s a definitely a good start!
As a result of my Tumblr blog’s much needed overhaul, I have also deleted a lot of older posts featuring my earlier photography work, making way for a lot of new content over the coming months. I also had a number of older posts with broken image links, so the images would no longer display when clicked on. Clearing them out makes the most sense. So, I have a few more old posts to delete and then I’ll begin adding a lot of content to bring my blog here up to date, with new work, sneak-peeks, insights, creative musings and more. I’m excited!
Now, if I could just find time to update the images on my website and add some new blog posts, I’d be golden! ;) Yes, that IS my next major project to tackle. For now though, I think that I’m moving in the right direction. Onward and upward, as they say!
My husband and studio partner, Christopher Wright, and I have added a new page on Facebook to feature our joint fashion, beauty and commercial photography work. We often work together as a creative/photography team, so it made sense to have a page where our unified body of work can be viewed in its entirety. You can now view our joint work, creative musings, photography and styling tips, studio insights and more on the Acailawen & Wright studio page on Facebook. (Link opens in a new window).
We have also added new pages on Google+ and Twitter. I will post links to those shortly for anyone interested in following us on those social networks.
I find inspiration everywhere - in the things I see, hear, smell, taste and touch. When my senses are stimulated I become inspired. When I am inspired, I wish to create something that will inspire, excite and entertain others in return. If what I create then inspires others to do the same, a beautiful cycle is born. If you inspire me, I will do my best to inspire someone else… and so on… and so on.
Inspiration is contagious. Please pass it on!
One of my all-time favorite quotes.
